Capt. Tom Kehlenbach of SeaTow Central Connecticut filed the following report, video—and warning—after last weekend’s storm:

“This past weekend’s windy weather should serve as a reminder to keep a close eye on your boat, especially if it is on a mooring. Sea Tow Central CT received calls for 2 vessels that capsized during 25- to 30-knot southeast winds on Friday and into Saturday.

“Usually it’s later in the season—when people have left their boats unattended for a couple of weeks and the batteries die—that we get calls like this. However, this weekend’s storm should stand as a reminder to keep an eye on the weather and move small boats to protected waters if possible before bad weather strikes.”

Kehlenbach also posted the following underwater video inspection of one of the sunken vessels, not something you see every day!
