SeaArk 180MVT is a Rugged, Economical Skiff

SeaArk’s 180MVT BayRunner is a roomy, tough, welded-aluminum bay boat with a tunnel bottom that allows it to float and run in very shallow water. With bow and stern casting decks and built-in wiring for a bow-mounted trolling motor, the 180 makes a stable platform for light-tackle anglers. Its roomy interior and shallow deadrise also make it a great vessel for families who want to explore creeks and access remote beaches.

Although rated for 115 hp, our test boat ran well with Yamaha’s new F70 outboard, turning in a top speed of 29.4 mph. Cruising speeds of 15 to 22 mph resulted in fuel economy figures of 7 to 8.5 mpg. The ride in a 1-foot washboard chop was dry and comfortable. The 4-blade aluminum propeller held the water from the tunnel efficiently, allowing easy running and turning without ventilation.
