SI-Tex CVS-1410 a Powerful Pro-Grade Sounder
March 9, 2011
SI-TEX’s new CVS-1410 sounder delivers 1 kW output in a 10.4” LCD with Digital Signal Processing and Digital Filtering. The unit provides serious fishermen with a range of important advantages, including depth-range scales from 10 to 6,000 feet, excellent clutter suppression and signal-to-noise ratio, and a faster transmission rate for enhanced shallow-water performance. Its digital design helps the CVS-1410 detect fish close to the bottom when paired with a high-frequency transducer. The 1k W dual-frequency (50/200 kHz) CVS-1410 performs as well as or better than many 2 kW and 3 kW sounders, making it an affordable professional-grade alternative.
Bottom detail and fish targets are presented on the CVS-1410’s large color TFT LCD display with 640 x 480 pixel (VGA) resolution. The CVS-1410 is offered with several different transducer choices, allowing you to choose the ideal model for the preferred target species, fishing methods and geographic region.
Other useful and unique features include Detection Area Display, which indicates with numbers and graphic “beam angle” illustrations the bottom area covered at high and low frequencies. This information can be used to determine the location of fish on the display in relation to your vessel. The exclusive Sona-Tone feature provides further help with identifying what’s under the boat by assigning differing audible alerts for fish and schools of fish.
The CVS-1410 also offers an image-storage feature that holds up to 10 screen captures for later recall. To help you return quickly to fishing hot spots or other previously saved positions, the unit has a back-track navigation display that appears right on the sounder screen. Two programmable function keys can be customized for quick and easy access to any menu item without having to open up the menu.
