Sinking Sailboat Saved off Sakonnet

EastBayRI: The Coast Guard and other rescuers came to the aid of a sailboat that was taking on water off Sakonnet Point Wednesday morning [Sept. 14].

At about 9:15 a.m., the Coast Guard received a distress call on VHF Channel 16 from the sailboat Rhapsody, reporting that it was taking on water about 3 miles south of Sakonnet Point with 4 people aboard, and that one was injured.
