Some Vineyard Beaches Reopen

CapeCodOnline: Some beaches in Oak Bluffs and West Tisbury have been reopened after being closed last week due to high enterococci bacteria counts.

All Oak Bluffs beaches except Medeiros Cove have been reopened, according to the Oak Bluffs Board of Health, according to a notice posted on the town website. Further testing of Medeiros Cove will be done Monday.

Additionally, the West Tisbury Health Department reports that the following beaches have been reopened: Seth’s Pond (Town), Salt Works Seven Gates and Long Cove Pond.

The following West Tisbury beaches remained closed pending further testing: Lamberts Cove, Long Point at the ocean and the Trustees of Reservation Tisbury Great Pond.
