St. George River Canoe & Kayak Race Results

The 37th annual St. George River Race was held on Saturday, March 26, in Searsmont, ME. Conditions this year included lower-than-normal water levels and temperatures of around 40 degrees. Also, a pesky beaver dam on the course caused trouble for some participants.
Rod McLain placed first in the canoe division, finishing the 6-mile course in 50:15.
Ben Randall placed first in the kayak divison with a time of 46:22.
A total of 86 boats competed in this year’s event.
