Stamford Advocate: Facing a defiant developer, the city [of Stamford, Connecticut] is preparing to issue Building and Land Technology a cease-and-desist order for failing to comply with the Zoning Board‘s demand to replace a boatyard in the South End.
“It’s regretful that we haven’t had a plan,” said Tom Mills, the board’s chairman. “These are the actions we must take.”
The Zoning Board on Monday consulted with the law department after BLT missed last Friday’s deadline to hand over its plans for a 14-acre waterfront site near Dyke Lane and Bateman Way. The property, part of its Harbor Point development in the South End, was once home to one of the region’s biggest boatyards.
