Stamford, CT, Marina Plan Clears Major Hurdle
January 14, 2013
Stamford Advocate: The Pavia administration has issued a letter of intent that grants Harbor Point developer Building and Land Technology the right to include city-owned property as part of a plan to relocate a displaced South End boatyard to Shippan.
The move clears a major hurdle for BLT, which has proposed the boatyard project as the first step of a larger plan to build an 850,000-square-foot headquarters for hedge fund Bridgewater Associates on the South End waterfront. The 14-acre development site, which sits along Bateman Way, was formerly home to Brewer’s Yacht Haven Marina and is still zoned for a boatyard.
