Stingray 235CR Offers Plenty of Comfort, Space
June 2, 2010
Stingray’s 235CR sport/cruiser combines a weekend-ready cuddy cabin with a spacious cockpit and an aft sunpad/swim platform. With a 270-hp Volvo Penta V-8 and DuoProp outdrive, the boat tops out at around 50 mph, but its patented Z-Plane hull cruises with excellent efficiency at speeds of 25 to 30 mph.
Nice details include features like a pair of molded-in steps on the centerline for access through a folding hatch in the windshield to the foredeck, a 3-step bow ladder for going ashore to beach picnics, several levels of sound system, and a wet bar with pressurized water just aft of the helm, plus a family-sized cooler that fits a molded space just below.
