Triton 225DC Built for Family, Fishing and Fun
August 25, 2010
Triton has just introduced the roomy, seaworthy 225DC (dual console), a model that’s sure to please fishermen and their families. As with all Tritons, the hull is built of all-composite materials (no wood), with extensive use of foam for strength, flotation and noise reduction. Now built in the same plant as Ranger Boats, Tritons continue to carry a limited lifetime hull warranty that attests to their quality and the confidence of the builder.
The twin consoles separate the bow and cockpit areas. The former can be easily converted from a seating area with table to a casting platform, and vice versa. The cockpit also offers plenty of fishing space, plus a stern seat, a livewell and a fishbox. It’s also a great spot for socializing, thanks to the swiveling helm and companion seats and the port and starboard transom-corner seats. The starboard console contains a cavernous storage area, while the port console conceals a head compartment. A single 225-hp 4-stroke outboard offers a top speed in the upper 40s, with an efficient cruise of 20 to 35 mph.
