Troublesome Trawler Towed to Portland

BoothBayRegister

The Boothbay Register reports that the fishing vessel Westward, which has been moored in Boothbay Harbor since 2012 and which slipped its mooring at Boothbay Harbor Shipyard for the second time on January 9, appears to be headed to Portland.

After briefly grounding in Boothbay Harbor, the Westward was attached to a temporary Coast Guard mooring.

The Register reports that the Westward has been a subject of concern for Boothbay harbormaster Nick Upham and other harbor watchers.
