Don’t miss the next episode of New England Boating TV, in which co-hosts Parker Kelley and Tom Richardson visit Jamestown, Rhode Island. After launching their Pursuit C 260 at Fort Adams in Newport, Tom and Parker set a course for Conanicut Marine, the largest marina in Jamestown. Shortly after tying up, the hosts stumble upon a serendipitous fishing opportunity with scup and tinker mackerel around the marina docks. It’s just one of the many surprises in this action-packed episode.
Later in the show, Tom gets a tour of the local waters with local boating expert and writer Will Tuthill aboard his vintage Wasque bass boat, while Parker explores the downtown area and receives a lesson in glass blowing at Clancy Design Glass Studio.
Tom and Parker also meet up with Jason and Beth Hatch of Jamestown Outdoors, who take them to Fort Getty State Park for a kayak and stand-up paddleboard tour of scenic Dutch Harbor, on the west side of Conanicut Island. Parker and Beth celebrate their paddle across the harbor with tasty tacos at Tallulah’s at Dutch Harbor Boat Yard.
Also featured in the show are a visit to the Jamestown Windmill and a bike ride to Beavertail Light, where Tom and Parker get a tour of the well-preserved aid to navigation at the southern tip of the island.
