UConn Student Rescued After Capsize

CTPost.com: A University of Connecticut student from Fairfield, Connecticut, is counting himself very lucky after his small sailboat capsized outside Bridgeport Harbor Thursday afternoon.

Matt Thompson, 20, ended up hugging a channel buoy for more than 3 hours before being rescued by police.

“I guess you could say I had an interesting adventure,” said Thompson, who was recovering at his Reef Road home in Fairfield on Thursday night. “I’m feeling very lucky.”
