UPDATE: Rescued Cape Cod Dolphins Off Maine
January 26, 2012
CapeCodOnline: A majority of the 24 common dolphins rescued and released in Cape Cod waters since Jan. 12 appear to be about 18 miles off the coast of Maine, the International Fund for Animal Welfare said today.

The non-profit’s rescuers placed temporary satellite tracking tags on six of the marine mammals, and three of those are still transmitting data, the non-profit said.
Daily reports from the satellite tags show some of animals have traveled over 190 miles and are using off-shore habitats that are well-known to rescuers for these species.
