Patriot Ledger: The USS Salem will get a last hurrah in Quincy before moving to Boston.

Michael Condon, executive director of the group that owns the USS Salem, said Monday [March 23] that the ship will reopen to the public this spring at the former Fore River Shipyard. The ship, which has been closed for 18 months, will reopen for tours and group events as soon as next month, Condon said.

“We’re excited to get people back on board,” said Condon, head of the non-profit U.S. Naval Shipbuilding Museum.
