In our first QuickTour video on Vineyard Haven, we detailed the various options for boaters who want to visit the town, whether for a few hours or an extended stay.
In Part 2 we take a look at some of the restaurants, shops and other attractions in town, including a pre-season tour of the schooner Shenandoah, courtesy of Black Dog Tall Ships captain Ian Ridgeway.
Afterwards, we get a look at Seeker, a 90’ wooden sailing scow that’s being built by island artist Ted Box, his son Jake, and various volunteers—right in the center of town. By the way, if you want to see more photos of Seeker being built, local artist Dick Iacovello has a bunch on his Facebook photo album, to view them CLICK HERE.
From there we consider some of the many places to eat, re-provision and shop, as well as how to get around to other parts of the island. Bottom line: there’s a lot to see and do in this historic Vineyard port!
