Vintage VT Dam Limited Irene Flood Damage

Boston.com: For more than 50 years the Army Corps of Engineers has monitored the flow of the Black River through the North Springfield dam.
The dam was built in the late 1950s to help reduce downstream flooding, and over the years it has prevented flood damage, but probably never more so than last summer.
