Warren, RI, Considers River Walk

EastBayRI.com reports on a move by town planners in Warren, Rhode Island, to create some type of public “river walk” along the east bank of the Warren River in front of the former American Tourister factory, which is now for sale.

The town, which owns the water rights along the river, wants to act quickly so that public access is ensured if and when the property is purchased. Warren is apparently following the lead of neighboring Bristol, which secured waterfront access rights prior to any sale of the old Robin Rug factory.
