Wyoming Pond Water Level Blamed on Dam Problems
October 15, 2015
Westerly Sun: Responding to complaints about low water levels from residents in Hopkinton and Richmond [Rhode Island] who live near Wyoming Pond, Rep. Justin Price, R-Richmond, met recently with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management to urge the agency to repair the failed components of the Wyoming Upper Dam that are at least partially responsible for the low water in the pond. The state owns the dam and is responsible for maintenance and repairs.
Price said neighbors were concerned that the low water levels might also affect their drinking water wells.
