York, ME, Wharf Returns to Working Status
July 10, 2012
Cote, who caught lobsters for 50 years from the John Hancock Wharf, died in 1981. But his tradition of “4 O’clock Club” parties at his bait shack on the York River was re-created Friday evening by the Museums of Old York.
The organization hosted the party to celebrate the culmination of the working waterfront transformation at the wharf.
