Cape Cod Times: Ten people were rescued from a sinking boat Saturday night [July 4] after it hit a rock off the coast of Osterville at Collier Ledge, fire officials say.

A distress call from the Someday, a 34’ Searay, came in to the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire Department at 11:24 p.m., said Capt. Tim Burchell. COMM launched its rescue boat; the Barnstable Fire Department’s boat was already on the water following the fireworks and responded, as did Coast Guard Station Woods Hole, the Barnstable Harbormaster and Sea Tow Hyannis, a private boat towing company.
