2 Fishermen Fundraisers on Cape Cod

The Cape Cod Commercial Hook Fishermen’s Association will hold 2 special fundraisers in Chatham Friday, September 14.
The State of Cape Cod’s Fisheries at EPOCH Senior Living, 4:00 p.m.
A chance to get an overview of Cape Cod’s different fisheries, how they operate and what is going on in the fishing industry today.
The evening will kick off at 4:00 p.m. with Captain Ray Kane, a long-time fisherman and fisheries advocacy and outreach spokesperson at CCCHFA. The presentation will be followed by a fish fry featuring locally caught fillets starting at 5:00 p.m. All are invited. Pianist Tom Telesmanick will provide live entertainment.

Cooking demonstration with Barton Seaver & local fishermen, 5:30 p.m.
Chef and National Geographic Fellow Barton Seaver from Washington, D.C. will prepare dishes featured in his cookbook, For Cod and Country. He will be joined by local fishermen who will describe their daily trips to harvest seafood.
The event will take place 5:30-8:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, and 3 seafood dishes will be served featuring littleneck clams, bluefish and dogfish. Tickets are $125 and include a copy of Barton’s cookbook, For Cod and Country. Space is limited.
