2012 RI Saltwater Fishing Regs Announced

The 2012 Rhode Island recreational regulations have been set for the following inshore species:

Fluke (summer flounder):

• Bag limit increased by 1 fish; now 8 per day.
• Minimum size: 18.5″.
• Season: May 1 to December 31

Scup (individual):

• Bag limit doubled to 20 fish per person, per day & 23 days added to season.
• Minimum size: 10.5″.
• Season: May 1 to December 31

Black Sea Bass:

• Bag limit increased to 15 fish per person, per day & season increased by 3 weeks.
• Minimum size: 13″.
• Bag limit: 15 fish per day.
• Season: June 15 to December 31
