MiddletownPress.com: Hundreds of anglers of all ages converged on Chatfield Hollow May 10 [2014] to take part in the [Connecticut] Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s free family fishing day.

Though rain was initially in the forecast, the storms held off until late afternoon with temps in the high 70s and blue skies above as DEEP staff hoisted bins filled with trout from a dump truck and transferred them into buckets for children to heave into Schreeder Pond.

In all, 750 trout made their way into the waters.
