Biddeford, ME, Lightkeeper’s House Restored

Sun Chronicle: For those who take a trip out to Biddeford’s Wood Island Lighthouse this summer, a new sight will greet them as they step off the boat—the newly restored keeper’s house.

The freshly shingled house has been carefully restored to its 1906 Dutch Colonial design, and “the look of the place has changed dramatically,” according to Brad Coupe, the chair of the Friends of the Wood Island Lighthouse executive committee.

Visitors will get to see the new building first-hand during summer tours, which start June 30.
