The Cape Cod Times reports that cold weather and strong winds over the weekend caused about 100 cold-stunned sea turtles to strand along Cape Cod’s beaches. More than 300 turtles have been recovered by the Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary since the beginning of November—a higher-than-average total, but well short of last winter’s record of more than 1,200 strandings.
