Bluenose II, Columbia to Return for Gloucester Schooner Festival

Gloucester Times: It should be quite a sight on Aug. 31, when the replicas of two of the most famous racing schooners from the gilded age of sail rendezvous off the coast of Cape Ann and return to Gloucester in tandem and, if the sailing gods cooperate, under sail.

The appearance here of the 143-foot Bluenose II for the first time in more than a decade and the return of the Columbia for the 4th consecutive year will highlight the 34th Gloucester Schooner Festival presented by Maritime Gloucester throughout Labor Day weekend.
