Boat of Long-Distance Rower Found on Irish Coast
January 8, 2016
The Cape Cod Times reports that the abandoned 21’ high-tech rowboat of Sarah Outen, who spent 143 days rowing alone on the Atlantic Ocean last year in what would have been the final leg of a 4½-year, around-the-world journey, was found on the coast of southwest Ireland. Outen was forced to abandon her boat, called Happy Socks, just under 1,000 miles off the coast of Spain due to an approaching storm.
