Boater Arrested for BUI in Falmouth, MA

An East Falmouth, MA, man pleaded not guilty on Thursday to operating a boat under the influence, after he was arrested earlier in the day, according to an article in the Cape Cod Times.
The Coast Guard arrested Matthew Procek at around 1:00 p.m. after a passenger onboard the Dream Driven reported that the boat’s operator was drunk, according to court documents and Coast Guard and police statements. The Coast Guard then towed the boat to the Tides Motel in Falmouth.
Procek’s blood alcohol content was reportedly measured at .14%, and he also failed Coast Guard sobriety tests. The blood alcohol limit for operating a boat in MA is .08%.
