Boaters Warned of Sunken Boat off Nantucket Harbor

Nantucket Inquirer & Mirror: The 38’ cabin cruiser that sank after running aground on the east jetty late Thursday night has been located about 200’ south of the flashing green marker indicating the entrance to the channel leading into Nantucket Harbor.

Employees of the sunken ship, who located the vessel, marked the wreck—about 20’ from the rocks—with 2 white fenders and an orange buoy. Mariners transiting the area are encouraged to do so with caution.
