Boating Safety Course in Searsport, ME

Darrell Gilman of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will teach a 10-hour course on boating safely this June (2013) at Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport, Maine.

The course covers specific laws and regulations, handling boating emergencies, safety practices, navigation rules, general boat maintenance and more. The last class is the exam for the Boating Safely Course Certificate.

The course runs from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on June 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25.

The course is $40 for members and $50 for non-members.

The course will take place at the Penobscot Marine Museum‘s Stephen Phillips Memorial Library, 11 Church Street, Searsport.
