Build a Boat at the NH Boat Museum

The New Hampshire Boat Museum in Wolfeboro will hold 2 sessions of intensive boatbuilding classes in 2014 geared toward novices who want to build a canoe, kayak, paddleboard or Bevin’s Skiff. This year the museum is offering a new option in the Adult/Family class: the opportunity to build an Optimist sailing dinghy.
Scholarships are available for students in the Youth Program and families with children who participate in the Adult/Family Program.

Course Details:
- Adult/Family Boat Building will be held from July 12 – 20. This session is open to adults or families with an adult and child team. The class runs daily from 8:30 am-3:30 pm.
- Youth Boat Building will be held from August 4-15. This session is open to girls and boys ages 12 and up. The class runs from 9:00 am-3:00 pm, Monday – Friday.
- Each class teaches the safe use of hand tools and small power tools, with plenty of individual assistance by volunteers. All materials and tools are supplied.
