CapeCodOnline: On Saturday morning at Sesuit Harbor in East Dennis, the town marina was hopping. And for good reason, according to Dennis Harbormaster Terry Clen.

The harbor is the only one on Cape Cod Bay where a boater can get to open water within 5 minutes, Clen said. There aren’t any tidal restrictions as with other harbors on the bay. And the town’s mooring rates are cheaper than other towns, he said.

The downside, though, is that you’ll wait a long time to get a slip or a mooring.

“I think there’s probably a 30-year waiting list,” Clen said.
