Cape Cod Group Offers Whale-Watching from Shore

Photo/NOAA

Cape Cod is one of the finest spots on earth to view whales from shore. In winter, critically endangered North Atlantic right whales come to Cape Cod Bay to feed. In late spring and early summer, humpback, fin and minke whales arrive. All the above species can be seen from land, especially with the aid of telephoto lenses.

The public can join the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies this spring to look for whales from Barnstable’s Sandy Neck.
