Coast Guard Awards Lifesaving Medal to Block Island Rescuer

Rear Admiral Daniel Neptun, the First Coast Guard District Commander, issued a Silver Lifesaving Medal citation to New Shoreham, Rhode Island, Chief of Police Vincent Carlone, on Saturday, June 18, 2011.

Carlone received the medal for saving 2 boaters who capsized near Mohegan Bluffs off Block Island in September 2011.
