Coast Guard Responds to Argument in Potter Cove, RI
June 8, 2012
EastBayRI.com reports that Portsmouth Police and the Coast Guard were apparently called to Potter Cove, a popular anchorage on Prudence Island in Narragansett Bay, on the evening of May 26 after neighboring boaters got into an argument over noise levels.
According to the report, a man on the noisy boat tried to climb aboard the complainant’s boat before being pushed off. A police boat was dispatched but broke down on the way, leaving the Coast Guard to handle the situation. However, by the time they arrived neither party wished to press charges.
