Coast Guard Suspends Search for Missing Fisherman off Cape Ann

The Coast Guard has suspended the active search at 10:42 a.m. Friday, December 20, pending further developments, for a fisherman who went overboard from the fishing vessel Lydia & Maya approximately 32 miles southeast of Cape Ann, Massachusetts, Thursday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Boston received a report at approximately 12:30 p.m. Thursday, from the 71’ fishing vessel Lydia & Maya, homeported in Boston, stating that a 47-year-old male crewmember had gone overboard and they were unable to find him.
He was reported to be wearing orange pants, an orange overcoat and no The water temperature was 47 degrees, the air temperature was 40 degrees and seas were two-to-four feet with 20-knot winds.
The incident is under investigation.
