Coastal Flood Warning Issued for Northeast
June 4, 2012
A coastal flood advisory has been issued by the U.S. Weather Service for much of New England due to astronomically high tides and strong northeast winds. The warning is in effect through Tuesday afternoon.
Significant flooding is anticipated this evening and during tomorrow’s high tide cycle.
Beach erosion is likely and may be significant tonight as high water levels combine with large breaking waves over multiple tide cycles.
