Couple to Attempt Row from Chatham to Ireland

The Cape Cod Times reports that James Caple and Cindy Way will attempt to row from Chatham, MA, to Dingle, Ireland. Their departure is scheduled for today, May 24. If successful, they will be the first mixed pair to complete a west-to-east trans-Atlantic row.

Their boat is a 24’ vessel specifically made for long-distance rowing that has been used in 3 successful Atlantic crossings. It cost $50,000 to build and outfit.
