CT Announces 2013 Boater’s Guide Cover Contest Winner

The Connecticut DEEP along with the Gallery at Firehouse Square, New London, today announced that John Caggiano of Rockport, Massachusetts, is the winner of the 2013 Connecticut Boater’s Guide Cover contest.
Announced during a ceremony held at the Gallery at Firehouse Square, New London, on Saturday, July 8, Mr. Caggiano’s oil painting, “The Aurora Under Sail” will be featured on the cover of the 2013 Connecticut Boater’s Guide Cover.
Each year the DEEP publishes a Connecticut’s Boater’s Guide. The guide is a comprehensive, pocket-sized booklet containing updated laws and regulations, safety tips, coastal access points and environmental information of interest to the boating public. Approximately 94,000 copies will be printed and distributed statewide through marinas, town halls, libraries, and boating classes.
All artwork entered into this contest will be on display until August 11, 2012, at the Gallery at Firehouse Square.
