Connecticut officials have lifted a ban on eating fish after test results show the public is no longer in danger after a chemical spill in Southington last week, according to an article on NHRegister.com.

Light Metals Coloring released about 300 gallons of hexavalent chromium into the Quinnipiac River Wednesday, August 24, 2016, and the public was warned not to consume any fish from that area of the river as a result.
