CT River Winter Bald Eagle Cruises
January 28, 2020
Each winter, bald eagles from as far north as Canada make their way to the open waters of the lower Connecticut River for easy fishing. To view these magnificent birds, join the crew of CT River Expedition’s 64-foot RiverQuest, departing from the Connecticut River Museum in Essex, CT.
The environmentally friendly vessel offers a heated cabin and ample deck space. An on-board naturalist provides narration while you get an up-close view of the river. Coffee and use of binoculars are included in the ticket price, as well as admission to Connecticut River Museum galleries and the Eagles of Essex exhibit.
Cruises take place Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays beginning February 8. Wednesday cruises begin February 19.
Cost: $42 per person (includes admission to the Museum’s exhibits and galleries)
Advance ticket purchase strongly suggested. Departures subject to weather conditions. Due to the length of this winter cruise, we ask that no children under 10 years old be booked.
GROUP TRIPS: Group reservations are available. Please contact the Museum Education Department at 860.767.8269 x113 to make a reservation.
