Join Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s (DEEP) Deputy Commissioner Susan Whalen and Riverfront Recapture for the Community Fishing Waters Summit 2014.

The Summit will provide opportunity for DEEP staff and community leaders to have a discussion on how to increase stewardship of outdoor resources using fishing as the “hook.”

When:   Tuesday, March 18, 2014
10:00 a.m.

Where:    Riverfront Recapture Boathouse
20 Liebert Road
Hartford, CT

The Community Fishing Waters program (formerly the Urban Fishing Program), began in 2006-2007 in 5 communities and is now expanding to 6 new communities this spring. DEEP stocks each water body with trout and channel catfish and as a result community residents have experienced excellent fishing in their own neighborhoods.
