A Thomaston, Maine contracting company and its owners are suing a private Rockland ferry firm, claiming that it was negligent on a December 2014 crossing of Penobscot Bay that heavily damaged equipment and placed the contractors in fear for their lives, according to an article on BangorDailyNews.com.

The lawsuit claims the weather was so rough that the ferry listed considerably, causing the concrete company’s primary vehicle – a 27-ton 1987 Mack boom truck — to roll on its side, damaging it beyond repair.
