Despite being the largest lake in Maine, Moosehead has remarkably few dock-and-dine restaurants. One of the best is Kelly’s Landing in Greenville Junction, overlooking West Cove.
Succulent ribs!
The restaurant offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and is open year-round. Its location adjacent to the public launch facility on West Cove makes it the perfect spot for trailer-boaters to grab a bite to eat or drink after a day on the water.
Fried haddock plate.
Kelly’s also has a long floating dock that runs along the entire front of the building, and the food is delicious. Noteworthy lunch and dinner dishes include seafood chowder, loaded nachos, BBQ ribs, burgers, “endless” fried-haddock Fridays, quesadillas, black Angus steak, chicken-and-waffles, and the ever-popular Saturday roast beef special. They also serve a wide range of soups and salads.

By the way, you can also rent rooms at Kelly’s. Lakeside suites include a one- and two-bedroom unit, and they have a lakeside log home as well.
