Fall Fishing off Cuttyhunk, MA
October 20, 2017
Fall is a magical time to fish the waters surrounding Cuttyhunk Island, at the southern end of the Elizabeth Islands chain. Everything from striped bass to false albacore gather in these fertile waters, preying on an abundance of baitfish and fattening up for the southward migration. It’s a time of year when you could encounter action throughout the day, on topwater lures and flies. In this episode of New England Fishing TV, host Tom Richardson travels to Cuttyhunk to fish with legendary light-tackle guide Bruce Borgess.
Richardson and Borgess have no trouble catching striped bass on topwater plugs and flies before capping off an already fantastic day with false albacore off nearby Quicks Hole.
