Fares to Double on CT River Ferries

Middletown Press: Costs for taking the Chester-Hadlyme Ferry across the Connecticut River will go up this summer [2013].

The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced that it plans to double the fares on the two Connecticut River Ferries starting July 1 to offset the rising operating costs that have occurred over the years. Fares have not been raised since 2003, according to the DOT.
