April 13, 2011
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood watch for the Connecticut River in anticipation of heavy rain combining with melted snow.
Forecasters are calling for as much as inch of rain in some areas today. NWS says there is a risk of minor flooding in low-lying areas along the river. Swift currents could also disrupt cross-river ferry service.
