Flood Watch Issued for Connecticut

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood watch for parts of coastal Connecticut through Wednesday night. As much as 4 inches of rain could fall on the area by Thursday.
According to the NWS, a “nearly stationary” storm system will push a constant stream of moisture into the region through the middle of the week. Boaters are urged to take appropriate precautions with moored and docked boats, or move their beached vessels, kayaks and canoes to higher ground.
Be aware that drifting kayaks, canoes and skiffs can initiate costly search-and-rescue missions, so make sure small vessels are secured and can be identified. See video below.
