Flooding Concerns Rise Along Assawompsett River, MA
December 5, 2011
SouthCoastToday: Lakeville residents are casting a wary eye as the water in the Assawompsett Pond Complex rises, reviving fears of a repeat of the March 2010 flooding.
As neighboring towns try to help the situation, man is losing his battle with Mother Nature.
A meeting has been scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Lakeville Library, where representatives of affected communities will listen to residents’ concerns, especially of those living around the ponds, and try to explain what is happening.
